One of the first key art of the airship’s interior. I did most of the early design work for the vessel. Since the Morning Star was, back then, supposed to be this prototype luxury vehicule, I tried to blend the Art Deco Ascendant look with industrial structures. The idea at the time was to use the technical spaces and areas almost as works of art in order to reflect the Ascendants adoration of technology.

The Airship soon became the game’s hub where the player would return regularly. This meant I started to figure out how much and how the different gameplay elements would fit together while keeping enough space for the hydrogen bags that would hold the ship aerial.
